Kiefer Ledell is an Artist living in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelors in Fine arts with a focus on drawing and painting. He works from his studio at the Nut Factory in River-West and has shown work nationally.
His main subjects are ants and more specifically the underground homes they create. sexuality and its role in human psychology and social behavior. and the object and the various ways that objects interact and exist both in the human realm and beyond.
His paintings, drawings, and collages bring together a wide range of ideas about the human condition and the material world. Using complex symbology, a tumultuous color palette, and a range of stylistic approaches. He is influenced by EO Wilson, Levi Bryant, Graham Harmond, Object Oriented Ontology, Picasso, Cezanne, Agnes Martin, Manet, Judy Chicago, Aboriginal art, Feminism, Conservationism, Still Life, and the ants.
